A Tetra Top® packaging is a beverage carton developed by Tetra Pak which Rhenser Mineralbrunnen uses to fill its natural mineral water. The Tetra Top® packaging used by Rhenser consists of 90% renewable materials (54% carton and 36% plant-based plastics), features a transparent DOM (the area between the label and the cap) and a tethered cap. It is not possible to generally state that one type of packaging is more sustainable than another – key factors include transport distance, weight, materials, and recyclability. In this context, a Tetra Top® packaging often demonstrates a strong overall environmental performance due to its low weight, recyclability and high proportion of renewable raw materials.
Under the umbrella brand Rhenser the company fills natural mineral water Naturelle in 0.33l and 0.5l sizes in Tetra Top® packaging. Under the primary brand WasserGlück the Tetra Top® range also includes WasserGlück Naturelle (0.33l and 0.5l), WasserGlück Organic Lemon (0.5l) and WasserGlück Organic Apple (0.5l). In addition, Rhenser operates as a contract bottler for numerous companies and organizations, producing Tetra Top® products in customized designs.
No, carbonated mineral water cannot be filled in a Tetra Top® packaging, as this type of packaging is not designed to withstand carbonation pressure and may become leaky.
An own customized Tetra Top® packaging design is possible starting from a minimum order quantity of 23.000 units – either fully customized (all four sides) or partially customized (one or two sides). Print data must be prepared in CMYK format. Design support from Rhenser is available upon request.
